Your state has a U.S.Congressional  Representative on the influential House Armed Services Committee

To quickly find out if you are a voter in their district:

     1.  Go to:  http://www.house.gov/  Enter your zip code in the upper left corner

     2.  Review list of House Armed Services Committee Members:  http://armedservices.house.gov/list_of_members.shtml.

           ****  If your representative is on the list click on their name, then:

      3.  Click on “Contact Info” (usually at top of page, might have to look around for it) for your Congressman's mailing address.  It’s best to hand deliver the letter to their local office in your town.  Mail it otherwise.  Email is so overloaded it is not meaningful.

     4.  Sample draft of the letter you can send (click here)Copy and paste the letter into your word processor, put the name and address of your U.S.Congressional Representative at the top, sign your name at the bottom and deliver or mail it.  Depending on the word processor some adjustment of the text may be required.

For those not familiar with the copy and paste procedure:

 

1. Open a blank document in your word processor

2. In the document with the text to be copied, click and hold the left mouse button and drag over the desired text

3. When the desired text is highlighted, right click the mouse button and select copy from the menu

4. Return to the blank word processor document, right click the mouse button and select paste from the menu
